(Monticello, NY - 12:00 PM) – Sullivan County Manager David Fanslau is pleased to announce that Sullivan County DPW Commissioner Bob Meyer has been named Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee of the New York State County Highway Superintendents’ Association. Meyer has previously served for the past several years on the Association’s Executive Committee.
The New York State County Highway Superintendents Association represents New York State’s 57 Commissioners of Public Works and Highway Superintendents.
For over 100 years the Association has promoted the construction and maintenance of a safe and modern system of more than 20,400 miles of county highways and over 9,000 local bridges in New York State as well as other transportation infrastructure maintained by county government.
The NYS County Highway Superintendents’ Association links county highway officials with industry professionals as well as state and federal government officials and lawmakers to exchange ideas, share knowledge and promote county infrastructure needs.
