(Monticello, NY - 1:00 PM) - The Sullivan County Veterans Service Agency will have a “Valentines for Vets” display in the lobby of the Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello – Tuesday, February 14th and Wednesday, February 15th, during the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Grade school children from our local school districts are invited to participate in this program by creating Valentine’s Day cards for our hospitalized veterans. Gene Benson, Chairman of the Sullivan County Veterans Committee, said, “This is a great way to lift the spirits of our brave men and women who are hospitalized and let them know they are not forgotten.”

The cards will be delivered to our local Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical centers and local nursing homes.
