the 2010 census process: “Sullivan County residents are currently receiving

is essential that ALL Sullivan County residents are counted in the 2010 census.
The census data is used to determine eligibility for grants from the federal
government, appropriate representation in the U.S. Congress, and a host of other
uses that will benefit Sullivan County for the next decade,” said
failure to be counted in the 2010 census will shortchange Sullivan County, and
may be the difference in whether federal funding is received in Sullivan County,
or sent elsewhere in New York State or the country,” added Fanslau.
2010 census forms require that all persons are counted at the address where they
reside as of April 1, 2010. On behalf of the County Legislature, I implore each
and every resident to complete and return the 2010 census forms that they have
received as soon as possible,” concluded Fanslau.
