(Monticello) – County Manager David P Fanslau ordered flags at all County
facilities to be flown at half-staff through Tuesday, March 16, 2010. “The
flags will be flown at half-staff at all Sullivan County facilities through
Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in honor and memoriam of the service to the Country by
Private First Class Jason Kropat,” said Fanslau.
“Jason was a native of Sullivan County, and a graduate of Monticello
High School. The Sullivan County community is saddened by the news of Pfc.
Kropat’s death, while serving in the military in Afghanistan,” said
Fanslau.
“On behalf of the County of Sullivan, I extend deepest sympathy to
Jason’s family and friends. Sullivan County and America is the Home of the Free,
Because of the Brave! Pfc. Jason Kropat was among our bravest, and has paid the
ultimate sacrifice to ensure our continued freedom,” concluded
Fanslau.
