(Monticello) – County Manager David P Fanslau announced today that the Sullivan County Youth Bureau will begin accepting applications for the 2011 calendar year from organizations that serve children and youth within Sullivan County and wish to seek additional grant funding for their program.
“The Sullivan County Youth Bureau receives funding annually from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to fund youth recreation, service, and delinquency-prevention projects within Sullivan County,” said Fanslau. “Eligible applicants include private nonprofit organizations, schools, municipalities, or partnerships of these organizations working together,” added Fanslau.
“Organizations with programs currently funded by the Youth Bureau are requested to attend a brief meeting Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the legislative hearing room of the County Government Center in Monticello, NY,” said Lesia Snihura, Youth Bureau Director.
“Organizations not currently funded by the Youth Bureau but which would like to apply for Youth Bureau funding are invited to join us Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the legislative hearing room of the County Government Center in Monticello, NY,” added Snihura.
Interested applicants are requested to contact the Youth Bureau no later than Monday, May 10, 2010, to arrange to attend either session.
“Following the meeting, completed applications will be due to the Youth Bureau by Monday, June 14, 2010. Between the May informational meeting and the June 14 deadline, the Youth Bureau will provide applicants with individual assistance, by appointment, to develop proposals that can be considered for funding,” concluded Snihura.
