POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony   

(Monticello) – County Manager David P Fanslau has announced that the Sullivan County Veterans Service Agency will hold its annual POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the lobby of the Sullivan County Government Center, 100 North Street, Monticello, New York.

“This is an annual commemoration for Americans to remember the sacrifices and services of those who were prisoners of war (POW), as well as those who are missing in action (MIA), and their families,” said John l. Bridges, Director of the Veterans Services Agency.

The Keynote Speaker will be Frank Armstrong, Vietnam Combat Veteran and Chairman of the Sullivan County Veterans Committee.

The public is invited to attend.
