Home Energy Assistance Program   

Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) - The HEAP program is designed to offset fuel and utility costs for eligible families or individuals. HEAP funds are usually available mid – November until mid - March. The amount of this benefit is based on the type of household, income for the household and the type of fuel or utility.

Please note: The 2016-2017 Heating component of the Home Energy Assistance Program ( HEAP) will be closing effective 3/31/17.

The 2017-2018 Cooling component of the Home Energy Assistance Program ( HEAP) opened on 05/01/17. If you have received a HEAP benefit in the 2016-2017 winter season and a have a documented medical condition that is aggravated by extreme heat, you may be eligible for the Cooling component.
