The Sullivan County District Attorney is searching to fill the following positions:

Senior District Attorney's Investigator
This position involves responsibility for the administrative direction and supervision for the investigators assigned to the Fraud Investigative Team; the investigation of criminal complaints both independently and in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies. MINIMUM QUALFIFICATIONS: (A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Criminal Justice and four (4) years of experience as a Police Officer with an MPTC or equivalent certifications*, including extensive experience in felony level criminal investigations as an investigator/detective, electronic surveillance, three (3) years of which shall have involved the supervision of other Police Officers, specialized training to include homicide and death investigations, narcotics investigations, covert surveillance training; and sex crime investigations, or; (B) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and six (6) years of experience as described in (A) above and three (3) years of which shall have involved the supervision of other Police Officers; or (C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and ten (10) years of experience as described in (A) above and three (3) years of which shall have involved the supervision of other Police Officers. Salary Range $60,000 to $70,700. NOTE: *refers to the candidate's having received certification of completion of the Police Basic Course Practice and procedure as set forth in NYCRR 6020.

PERSONNEL ASSISTANT
DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES

SULLIVAN COUNTY Department of Human Resources is seeking an individual to serve as a Personnel Assistant in the Department of Human Resources. This position is an entry level position which assists the Personnel Officer in the administration of the governmental personnel programs. The incumbent performs field and office technical and clerical functions in connection with the Department’s mandates pursuant to Civil Service Law. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established policies, with leeway permitted for the exercise of independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications: Either: (A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents with an Associate’s Degree or higher; or (B) Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two (2) years of experience involving general office duties, including record keeping and direct public contact work.

Nutritionist – WIC (Per Diem)

Sullivan County Public Health Services is seeking to fill a vacancy for a per diem Nutritionist. This is a professional position involving responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating a nutrition education program for participants in a County public health program for pregnant, postpartum and breast-feeding women and parents or caretakers of infants and children (WIC Program).

Minimum qualifications: Either:

(a)Possession of a license or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian; Or
(b)Possession of a Master’s Degree or PhD from a regionally accredited college or university in nutrition or public health with a concentration in nutrition; Or

Sullivan County Division of Planning & Environmental Management is seeking an ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLANNER. This is a mid-level professional planning position responsible for a diverse range of planning and economic development program functions. These assignments may include, but are not limited to, program planning, small business development, reporting and program evaluation, financial management, assisting in the development of economic and community revitalization plans and participating in the identification and application of State and Federal grants. Work assignments may increase in level of complexity and responsibility as the incumbents' professional competence increases.

SULLIVAN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES

Public Health Nurse - This is a professional nursing position responsible for providing nursing assessment and education to clients in the community, public health clinic setting and in the home setting.  Incumbent assists in providing guidance to Community Health Nurses (Public Health) and Registered Professional Nurses Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university and two (2) years clinical experience in home care, acute care or a field related to public/community health.

Registered Nurses - are needed to do home care, clinics, maternal child health, and public health programs.  We prefer nurses who are experienced, flexible and highly organized to further our mission of protecting and promoting the health of Sullivan County residents.  You must have a minimum of a registered nurse licensure in New York State, with experience in public health, acute care and/or home care desired.
