The Sullivan County Department of Purchasing and Central Services is seeking to fill the following position:
This position involves the performance of purchasing and buying duties for both bid and non-bid purchasing of services, supplies, and materials for departments of the county government. Work is performed under supervision with leeway for conferring with representatives of county departments and/or vendors on specific purchasing assignments. Problems concerning policy or procedure are referred to a supervisor for decision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either: (A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with an Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or a Related Field and one (1) year experience involving the processing of requisitions and purchase orders; or (B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of experience involving the processing of requisitions and purchase orders; or (C) an equivalent combination of training and experience as described in (A) and (B) above.
NOTE: Post High School course work in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance or a closely related field can be substituted on a basis of three (3) credits being equivalent to three (3) months or required experience.

The Sullivan County Adult Care Center is seeking applicants for the position of Supervising Social Worker. This is an important professional and administrative position involving responsibility for administering and supervising the social work services at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center Work is performed under the general supervision of the Administrator of the Adult Care Center. The work performed includes wide responsibility for independent action and programming and involves the supervision of subordinate professional, para-professional and clerical staff. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, procedures and practices of social work and a thorough knowledge of the functioning of a residential facility and the scope of services rendered.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:
Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s Degree in Social Work or other Human Services Field and Two (2) years of paid social work experience in a residential facility including one (1) year of supervisory responsibility; or Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited to by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Social Work or other Human Services Field and Four (4) years of paid social work experience in a residential facility including one (1) year of supervisory responsibility.
NOTE: Must possess a current certificate or limited permit to practice social work in the State of New York. Only professional, post-master’s social work experience will be considered as qualifying experience. Supervisory experience must be practicing at the post-master’s level and supervision of professional social workers.

SULLIVAN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES is searching to filling the following positions:
Public Health Nurse - This is a professional nursing position responsible for providing nursing assessment and education to clients in the community, public health clinic setting and in the home setting. Incumbent assists in providing guidance to Community Health Nurses (Public Health) and Registered Professional Nurses Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university and two (2) years clinical experience in home care, acute care or a field related to public/community health.
Registered Nurses - are needed to do home care, clinics, maternal child health, and public health programs. We prefer nurses who are experienced, flexible and highly organized to further our mission of protecting and promoting the health of Sullivan County residents. You must have a minimum of a registered nurse licensure in New York State, with experience in public health, acute care and/or home care desired. We use a state-of-the-art computer documentation system.
