The Sullivan County Management Information Systems Dept. is seeking to fill the following position:

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM COORDINATOR: This position involves responsibility for coordination of electronic data management systems including the performance of technical duties to assist in the operation of a Local Area Network consisting of a server wired to several work stations. The Management Information System (MIS) Coordinator provides training and instruction to personnel assigned to perform data management functions. Work is performed under general supervision with wide leeway for independently performing the duties of the position. Supervision is exercised over staff assigned to perform data management functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either: Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees in computer programming, computer sciences, computer engineering, systems analysis, data processing, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the operation of internally programmed electronic data processing equipment including the use of applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and relational database management; or Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and seven (7) years of experience as described above. NOTE: In–depth experience in the utilization of office productivity software may be substituted for programming experience on a year for year basis.

SALARY: Entry: $45,019.00; After six (6) months: $47,388.00. Appointment to this position is Provisional subject to Civil Service Examination.

SULLIVAN COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
is searching to filling the following positions:

Public Health Nurse - This is a professional nursing position responsible for providing nursing assessment and education to clients in the community, public health clinic setting and in the home setting.  Incumbent assists in providing guidance to Community Health Nurses (Public Health) and Registered Professional Nurses Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university and two (2) years clinical experience in home care, acute care or a field related to public/community health.

Registered Nurses - are needed to do home care, clinics, maternal child health, and public health programs.  We prefer nurses who are experienced, flexible and highly organized to further our mission of protecting and promoting the health of Sullivan County residents.  You must have a minimum of a registered nurse licensure in New York State, with experience in public health, acute care and/or home care desired. We use a state-of-the-art computer documentation system.
