Public Health Nurse - This is a professional nursing position responsible for providing nursing assessment and education to clients in the community, public health clinic setting and in the home setting.  Incumbent assists in providing guidance to Community Health Nurses (Public Health) and Registered Professional Nurses Licensure and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university and two (2) years clinical experience in home care, acute care or a field related to public/community health.

The Sullivan County Department of Public Health is seeking to fill the following position:
WIC PROGRAM COORDINATOR
This position involves responsibility for managing the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition education and food voucher program. Sullivan County Division of Public Works/Solid Waste is seeking a DIRECTOR OF SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT. This position involves responsibility for overseeing solid waste management and recycling programs administered through the County D.P.W. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of functions performed by consulting engineers or other contractors; liaison with regulatory agencies; and general management and/or supervision of the county’s solid waste management activities. Work is performed under general supervision of the Commissioner with broad leeway for the exercise of independent judgment in performing most job duties. Supervision is exercised over all staff performing solid waste management duties.

The Division of Public Works maintains two closed/capped landfills with associated gas, leachate and storm water collection and treatment infrastructure, two material recovery facilities as well as six recycling and transfer stations located throughout the County. The County also maintains one long haul transfer station as all municipal solid waste is currently exported.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, environmental engineering, natural resource management, or a related field, and two years of experience in a solid waste management field; Or an Associate’s degree in environmental studies, environmental engineering, natural resource management, or a related field, and four years of experience in a solid waste management field; or six years of experience in a solid waste management field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience as described above.

Sullivan County Division of Public Works is seeking a DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION. This position involves responsibility for the administration and coordination of all aspects of the county run public transportation system. Sullivan County Public Health Services is seeking to fill a vacancy for Nutritionist. This is a professional position involving responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating a nutrition education program for participants in a County public health program for pregnant, postpartum and breast-feeding women and parents or caretakers of infants and children (WIC Program).

Minimum qualifications: Either:
