(Liberty) – County Manager David P. Fanslau has announced that the Sullivan County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board will hold a public hearing on the Town of Liberty Municipal Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan, pursuant to Article 25-AAA of the Agriculture and Markets Law. This public hearing will take place on Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Town of Liberty Town Hall, 120 North Main Street, Liberty, New York, at which time all interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard.
"The plan advocates for a variety of economic, educational, governmental, regulatory, and other actions that the Town can take to protect farms and farmland, and promote agriculture as a critical part of local life,” said Fanslau.
